Ca Na is a small and high-walled port city. There is a small beach locals go to, but it really isn’t anything spectacular. The city is also pretty dirty, smelly and difficult to find any accommodations and food in.
Since I couldn’t find anywhere to sleep or eat I decided to drive on. I highly recommend driving the coastal drive from Phan Rang – Thap Cham to Ca Na, as it is absolutely stunning!
The roads here must have been newly paved, as most of it is pretty flawless. The tarmac just bends and flows, following the sparkling ocean. The terrain here also changes dramatically from mountains and trees being replaced with sand dunes.
This drive was definitely one of the highlights in my drive through Vietnam – highly recommended!
